Exploring privately owned public spaces in SF

click here to see the original map on StrangeMaps.comLast week, my friend Slim shared a document on his Google Reader about “Privately Owned/Public Open Spaces” in downtown San Francisco. Thanks to a couple comments on the article, we’ve decided to do an expedition of some of the spaces this Saturday.

We will be meeting at 11 AM at space #22, which the map describes as: “# One Post Street. Snippets with stand-up tables and square concrete blocks at sitting height next to food services.” Anyone is welcome to join us for a couple hours as we explore some of these POPOS. There is no planned route, we’ll just be playing it by ear.

You can find the whole map and POPOS listings on StrangeMaps.com and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
