BoingBoing’s Chiptune Video Game Challenge

BoingBoing announced their Games Inspired By Music challenge earlier this week. Being a big fan of the chiptunes, I sent out a tweet to see if anyone else would like try to make a game with me. I got some good response and quickly put together a game design for us to work from.
The current roster is Brian Cronin, Erik Swedberg, Lilia Markham on coding. Mike Hales on the game’s menu screen and pixel art. Crashfaster on chiptunes and sfx. And me on level design and general wankery.
Today, we’ll be getting together at Noisebridge and putting our varied skills to the test. I’ve never been part of a game jam before, but I’m totally thrilled to be working on my first jam with so many talented motherfuckers.
