Jason Shiga shows you how to make an interactive comic

Jason Shiga has been pushing the boundaries of multi-linear storytelling in comics for years. He’s created several fantastic comics using tabs, numbers, tubes, holes, or folds to navigate through the story. Each book gets better and better. In the above video, Shiga shows his process for creating his own choose your own mini-comics. I love the montage at the beginning of the video of all his previous choose your own experiments. I’m a bit of a Shiga collector, but I hadn’t even seen most of those.

I interviewed Jason at APE last year about Meanwhile, his most recent choose your own book.
