Hipstamatic’s facial tracking experiment: Tinto 1884
I’m totally digging how Hipstamatic‘s newest lens, the Tinto 1884, uses facial recognition to recreate a pretty realistic narrow depth of field effect for portraits. Read my full review about it on the Postagram blog.
I thought it’d be cool to combine this effect with my Giftstamatic technique. If you watch the gifs, you’ll also see how Hipstamatic also creates lightened areas around the eyes (sometimes missing!) to make them pop more dramatically:
