I’m broke these days, still on the hunt for a new job, which means I never have the scratch to use on film. So I’m finally learning how to scan my own film. It’s working pretty well so far, especially for black and white negatives, but working with colors is tricky… especially when using experimental films or processes. These shots are all from a fantastic Yashica I scored for a couple bucks at a yardsale. This is my first roll back, it’s cross processed film (Rollei Colorbird) which usually gives unusual results. I never thought about how much trouble these type of film could be to process. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m using a Canon CanoScan 9000F scanner with Mac’s ImageScan app and tweaks in Photoshop.
