As you may have noticed, I’ve been focusing a lot of my photography attention to the world of stereoscopic gifs from old film cameras. I’ve been sharing a lot of those projects here, but I’m excited to announce that I’ve been asked to turn that into an ongoing column on the popular MissionMission blog. I’ll be posting these 3D City columns over there as I continue working on this year long photography project.

These are super great. I just learned about a different technique to make 3D gifs, too! http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/3d-gifs

whatup doc! Waylan (@dwbl) here (met at Trailhead lonnnnng time ago). you’re a dork. but these are fresh. you an your LC-A… (are these usually out of an LC-A?)

Hey dude, these are all from cameras specifically made for 3D. My favorite is the Nimslo, but there are many others out there. The film 3D cameras usually have 4 lenses, and digital 3D cameras have 2. So the film versions animate smoother.
I love my LC-A, but haven’t used it since I started this project. -
you’ve never messed with the film stereo cameras then, ie. Stereo Realist?

I have. The Nimslo is still my fave. Love the auto-exposure and four frames better than manual-focus stereoscopy.
