I covered Biz Markie’s “Vapors” in ’96

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Biz Markie a few weeks back. I loved his music and think of him as a big influence on the music I make today. I was recently listening to some old recordings of mine and found this old cover version I did of his classic song, “Vapors”. I think I recorded this back in 1996 on a friends fourtrack and it’s probably the first cover song I’ve ever recorded.

Of course my version of the song is very different than Biz’s, but the love was still there. Vapors is such a classic.
