After forty years, Marvel is reprinting the classic ROM: Spaceknight comics. ROM was never a favorite character of mine, but these comics were always easy for me to find cheap at flea markets, so I did end up picking up a few issues mostly because of the cool covers.
Though he wasn’t involved with the series for long, I often associate ROM with Bill Sienkiewicz. He did a few ROM: Spaceknight covers in 1983-1985 in his unique painterly style, before moving on to be a regular cover artist for The New Mutants. Here are a few of his ROM covers (and related work):
